Why does the True Food Network ask for my information?
In order to participate in some activities, you might be asked to provide some
personal information. This could be in connection with any one or
combination of the following:
* Sending personalized faxes or email messages in an
online action
* Subscription to True Food Network email newsletters or action alerts
* Content submissions, comments, voting, community postings
(i.e., forums or bulletin boards)
What information does the True Food Network collect?
We do not collect personal information from our visitors other than what is
supplied to us on a voluntary basis.
The True Food Network analyzes our website logs to constantly improve the value
of the content available on our website. Information in our website logs is not
personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link that information with
the individuals that actually browse the site. These logs allow us to identify
trends, such as the time of day our site receives the most visitors, the day of
the week and/or month our site receives the most visitors, and what sections
of the site are most and least popular with our visitors.
How will the True Food Network use the information I provide?
We will always explain the extent of its use at the time you are asked to
provide personal information. If you do not want this information to be
collected or used by us for these purposes, you can simply "opt out." Under
certain circumstances, opting out may prevent your participation in activities
for which personal information is needed, such as the shipment of requested
items, participation in online actions, or subscription to email newsletters.
The True Food Network will never trade, sell, or rent any information belonging to members.
How do I know my credit card information is secure?
The True Food Network uses secure server software (SSL) that is the industry standard and is among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges.
In the event of an unauthorized charge to your credit card you must:
write to the creditor at the address given for "billing inquiries," not the address for sending your payments, and include your name, address, account number and a description of the billing error,
send your letter so that it reaches the creditor within 60 days after the first bill containing the error was mailed to you.
Information you provide in connection with online actions cannot be changed
once you have chosen to send your message. Online actions such as faxes
and emails are performed automatically and immediately. If your information
changes and you wish to participate in another online action, simply use
your updated information when taking part in the new action.
